The Virginia Forage and Grassland Council (VFGC) brings together resources and expertise from its farmer-members, the forage industry, and university and conservation agencies.
Our goal is to educate producers, policy makers, students, and the general public about the economic, environmental, and social benefits of forage-based production systems. As part of this mission, we are working with teachers and students to:
- Provide mentorship and exposure to the forage industry
- Develop forage and grassland-based educational classroom materials
- Support forage and grassland contest opportunities at the state and national level
